Man Overboard (MOB) Procedures

Below are the procedures I've worked out in case someone falls overboard. At right, is a diagram of how we'll turn the boat around. This Quick Stop Method was developed by the US Naval Academy and works well. It will prevent us from having to turn on the engine during recovery.

MOB Procedures

1. Yell ,"Man Overboard!" Even if you are the man overboard.

2. Throw flotation device, could be cushion

3. Point at MOB while KEEPING EYE CONTACT

4. Hold on tight

5. Stay low

(Boat will be doing sudden maneuvers)

4. Listen for commands from Damon, Colin or Jason for recovery.

Important: Do not fall overboard yourself and keep eye contact with the MOB
