Tangier Island

We stopped by Tangier Island, an island of 600 people that survives on two industries: crabbing and tourism.

Looking across a marsh at "downtown" Tangier.

We were the only people on the beach. Remember, this is Memorial Day weekend.

Asshole Rules the Navy.

This very seaworthy vessel washed up on shore.

There was an airstrip in Tangier, and next to it was this abandoned airplane sunk into the reeds.

Beach art.
